Teaching Sunday – Cost of Discipleship

Join other misfits for worship as we kick-off a new teaching series, “The Cost of Discipleship“, exploring Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s classic work. This week, Pastor T. C. interviewed Bonhoeffer scholar and author of Bonhoeffer’s Black Jesus, Dr. Reggie Williams. This interview will be the message for this Sunday. Shanita John will be leading us in musical worship; space will be made for kids’ church; and there will be prayers of the people and holy communion.

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday is the start of the season of Lent, which is a time of preparation for Holy Week. As we enter Lent, we will gather for a time of reflection, prayer, and the imposition of ashes—a reminder of our mortality and God’s renewing grace. “Memento mori“

Grounds of Being – Journey Group

Join together with other misfits for a theological discussion group led by Pastor T. C.. This week, we will begin discussing the classic work by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, The Cost of Discipleship, and what we can glean from it for our time.

Black History Month Lovefeast

Join other misfits for our Black History Month Lovefeast. We’ll be honoring Black History Month with a special tribute to the life and work of Fannie Lou Hamer. There will be a Breakfast Potluck. The church will provide pastries, turkey sausage, and juice. If you’d like to contribute, bring a side to share. This is an “all-ages” gathering (no kids’ church).
