Family & Differentiation

In this sermon, Pastor T. C. teaches on an important part of being family: differentiation. If we are properly differentiated we can easily fall into indifference or enmeshment. And our differences are important—without them we could not be united in one Body.

Setting the Lonely in Families

Pastor T. C. continues the Roots teaching series, “The Church as Forged Family” with a message on Psalm 68.4-6 which praises God for being a “father to the fatherless, a defender of widows” and for “setting the lonely in families.” This is a theme that is at the heart of what it means to be the church.

Forged Family Intro

In this sermon, Pastor T. C. kicks off a new teaching series called “The Church as Forged Family.” We’ll look at what a strange story in the Gospel has to show us about the kind of movement Jesus began.

Ruth & Naomi

In this sermon, Pastor Osheta helps us take another look at the story of Ruth, not as a rom-com love story between Ruth and Boaz, but as a story about ‘found family’ between Ruth and her mother-in-law, Naomi.

Life-on-Life Sharing

In this first message of the “Journey Together” series, Pastor T. C. grounds the series 1 Thessalonians 2 where the apostle Paul compares his ministry among the Thessalonians to familial relationships like a mother and father. Paul writes, “Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” This week’s topic is Life-on-life Sharing.
