Community Discernment

Continuing in the “Journey Together” series, in this live message, Pastor T. C. teaches on the topic of “Community Discernment” from Acts 15.

Life-on-Life Sharing

In this first message of the “Journey Together” series, Pastor T. C. grounds the series 1 Thessalonians 2 where the apostle Paul compares his ministry among the Thessalonians to familial relationships like a mother and father. Paul writes, “Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” This week’s topic is Life-on-life Sharing.

Home By Another Way

In this Epiphany homily, Pastor T. C. draws out two themes from the story of the Magi who visit the child Jesus in Matthew 2. The first theme is Cultural Appropriation vs. Cultural Admiration. The second is “returning home by another way.”

Water for the Journey

In this sermon, Pastor T. C. caps off the “Loyal-love” series with a message from the Old Testament lectionary reading: Exodus 17.1-6. This is the story of God providing Israel water from a rock while they traveled in the wilderness. Right now many of us feel like we’re also wandering in a desert place. But Paul reminds us that Jesus is our source of life—our living water. Jesus satisfies our thirst for identity, belonging, and justice.
