Sermons on Jonah

Jonah

In the first story of the Campfire series, Pastor T. C. walks through Jonah with grown-up eyes. Rather than being about the disobedience of a particular prophet long ago, Jonah is a satirical story that teaches the people of God about God’s character, particularly as it relates to God’s mercy towards people caught up in evil systems.

When God Seems Too Good

In this sermon, Emily Morrison reflects on two passages from this week’s lectionary readings: Matthew 20 (the parable of the vineyard workers) and John 4. Emily helps us understand why and what to do with those feelings.
